What is Store QA Tool?

Store QA Tool (SQA) is a Shopify app that scans your storefront, your product catalog, and your theme’s own source code for the kind of issues that quietly hurt a store: broken links, placeholder text left over from a theme demo, missing images, thin SEO metadata, empty collections, dead menu items, and more.

Every issue it finds - called a finding - comes with a plain-language explanation of what’s wrong and exactly how to fix it, plus a direct link into your Shopify admin or the storefront page in question. SQA never makes the fix for you: it only requests read access to your store, so nothing about your catalog, theme, or content is ever changed by the app itself.

How It Works

SQA never edits your store - every scan is read-only from start to finish:

Set your scan defaults - optionally point scans at a private preview URL, add words you want flagged, set which languages are allowed, and choose which checks run.
Run a Tier 1 scan - SQA crawls your storefront, seeds every product/collection/page from the Admin API, and checks the pages, your catalog, and your theme’s source code.
Review the findings - each one names the check, a severity, its exact location, and a plain-language fix - with a link straight to the admin resource or page.
Fix it yourself - SQA only has read access, so you make the actual change in your Shopify admin or theme code.
Re-scan to confirm - the next scan automatically marks each issue as new, recurring, or resolved, and anything you dismissed stays dismissed.
