Installation Guide

1. In your Shopify admin, go to Apps
2. Search for “Dropshipping Product Optimizer” in the Shopify App Store
3. Click “Add app” on the app listing
4. Review the app permissions and click “Install app” to confirm
5. You’ll automatically be taken to the Dropshipping Product Optimizer Home page

The Home page shows a setup checklist that ticks itself off as you go:

• AI ready - confirms the app can reach the AI provider that powers your optimizations
• Describe your store - set your store’s vertical and language in Settings
• Optimize your first products - create your first run
• Review and approve - approve your first run’s changes

Each step reflects your store’s real state, so the checklist disappears on its own once setup is complete.

Before your first run, open the Settings tab. On the Copywriting tab, set:

• Language - the language all generated copy is written in
• Store vertical - e.g. “pet supplies”. This shapes the AI’s tone and product knowledge
• Target customer - who you’re writing for, e.g. “budget-conscious first-time parents”
• Writing rules - a few short style rules, starting from a guideline template
• Brand names to keep - brands you want kept and forced to ALL CAPS; leave it empty to keep every brand

Then, on the Pipeline options tab, set:

• AI call limit per run - set this low (e.g. 10) for your first run so a mistake can’t run up a large bill

Save your changes before moving on. See Pipeline Settings for the full list of options.

1. Go to the Products tab
2. Filter by status, type, vendor, tag, or free text if needed
3. Select 2-3 products for your first run
4. Click the Optimize button in the selection bar (labeled with your product count, e.g. “Optimize 3 products”)

You’ll be redirected to the Runs tab, where the run polls live:

1. Watch the run move from Previewing to Awaiting Approval
2. Open the run and review each product’s diff - title, SEO fields, description, option changes, and per-variant prices
3. Untick anything you don’t want applied
4. Click Approve & apply

Nothing is written to your catalog until this step.
