Troubleshooting
Solutions for the most common issues you might run into with Dropshipping Product Optimizer.
My run is stuck on “Previewing”.
- This usually resolves itself within a few minutes. If it’s been stuck much longer, open the app again from your Shopify admin to refresh your session, since a run can only make progress while the app can talk to your store.
- Still stuck after that? Reach out to support with your run number.
An individual product in my run failed.
- Each product in a run is processed independently, so one failure never affects the rest. A failed item shows “Original copy kept - the AI call failed”: its title, description, and SEO text are left unchanged, but variant cleanup and price rounding still ran.
- Include that product in a new run to retry the AI copy, or use Edit copy to write the title, SEO fields, or description by hand instead - see Editing Proposed Copy.
I got a “quota exceeded” message, or my run is blocked.
- You’ve gone over your plan’s included product quota for this cycle with no paid plan to meter overage against. Choose a plan on the Billing tab to continue - see Plans & Billing.
- Already on a paid plan? Check the Store activity section on Billing - overage is capped per cycle (see the “Max overage per cycle” row on Plans & Billing), and once you hit that cap you’ll need to wait for the next cycle or upgrade.
“Approve & apply” says it will apply 0 products.
- Every product in the run has been unticked. Re-include at least one product, or use Reject instead if you want to discard the whole run and keep your catalog unchanged.
I don't see a “Reject” button on my run.
- Reject only appears when your selection is all-or-nothing - every product still checked, or every product unticked. With a partial selection, untick what you don’t want and click Approve & apply instead; that already expresses the same intent for the items you excluded.
My storefront still shows the old product info after approving.
- Confirm the run actually reached Completed and that the specific product shows as Applied, not Skipped or Failed.
- Your theme or browser may be caching the product page - try a hard refresh or an incognito window.
I approved a charge but my plan didn't change.
- This can take a minute to sync after you approve the charge in Shopify. If it still hasn’t updated after a few minutes, contact support.
I reverted a product but I'm still being charged for it.
- This is expected - the optimization work was already done and written to your catalog for that cycle. Reverting restores your product but doesn’t remove it from that cycle’s count. See what counts as billable.
The AI output doesn't sound like my brand.
- Your Settings have a bigger effect on output quality than anything else. Double-check your language, store vertical, target customer, and writing rules in Pipeline Settings, then re-run a small batch to check the result before committing to a larger run.
