Plans & Billing

Dropshipping Product Optimizer is billed through Shopify App Pricing plus usage-based overage. Every charge appears on your regular Shopify invoice - Dropshipping Product Optimizer never collects payment directly.

Every plan runs the same full pipeline - AI copy, SEO fields, variant cleanup, price rounding, preview-and-approve, and per-product revert. Plans differ only in included quota, overage rate, and how much overage can accumulate in a single cycle.

What Counts as a Billable Product

One product that reaches “applied” within your billing cycle. That is the same set of products you see in the Runs tab, so your invoice always lines up with what you can see in the app.

• Previews are free. A run that’s previewed but never approved costs nothing, even though it used AI to generate the preview.
• Skipped products are free. Unticking a product before approving means it’s never applied, and never billed.
• Failures are free. A product that errors during apply doesn’t count.
• A revert does not refund. The work was done and written to your catalog, so reverting a product afterward doesn’t remove it from that cycle’s count.
• A cancelled or rejected run bills only what it already applied. Stopping a run stops further work; anything applied before that point still counts.
• Re-optimizing the same product in a later run bills again - it’s a new application of a change, not a re-use of the last one.

Going Over Your Quota

Once you pass your included quota with an active paid plan, additional applied products are metered automatically at your plan’s overage rate - up to that plan’s maximum overage per cycle shown in the table above. On the Free plan, once you pass your included quota with no paid plan to meter against, new runs are blocked until you choose a plan on the Billing tab.

Store Activity

Once you’ve applied at least one product, the Billing tab shows three stat tiles for the current cycle:

• Products optimized
• AI calls
• Reverted

Alongside these, a usage bar shows how many of your included products you’ve used this cycle, and how many remain.

Upgrading Your Plan

1. Go to the Billing tab and choose Starter or Professional.
2. You’ll be redirected to Shopify’s secure billing approval page to confirm the charge.
3. Once you approve, your plan activates and your new included quota applies for the current cycle.

Plan Recommendation

The Billing tab computes what each plan would actually cost you at your usage this cycle, and badges the cheapest option Best value. Your active plan is badged Current. Recommendations only appear once you’ve applied at least one product - recommending an upgrade off zero usage wouldn’t be an honest number.

Downgrading to Free

You can move back to the Free plan anytime from the Billing tab. Your paid subscription is cancelled and your quota returns to the Free plan’s limit starting next cycle. Products you’ve already optimized are never undone by a plan change.
